Leaving the tunes ominous,

And people worth forgetting and bygone,

Looking ahead with a vision new,

With something cheerful to address.

Are the peonies really pink,

Or are my glasses with a rosy tint?

Poems don’t define,

The way you sing;

Songs of your charmand glee,

How often do we listen to,

The love behind a plea.
