Kabir and Samaira

“How do you know what I want?”

“I like to believe that I know you.”

“Do you? Know me?”

“I know that you don’t like aisle seats on planes, that you like being the first person on board and the last one to leave, that you have a love-hate relationship with your football team, you can’t decide if you’re a morning person or a night person. Oh, maybe you’re a mood person just like me.

I know that you want to run away from here but I also know that you can’t.”

“Those are just random things, Samaira.”

“Kabir, random things make us, us. What did you expect me to say? Serial number on your birth certificate?”

“Hahahah, you’ve a point. But, how do you know so much about me? And why?”

“Because you’re constantly talking about all of it and I’ve a tendency to remember every small thing.”

“About everything and everyone?”

“About anything and anyone who stayed in my life longer than I expected.”

“You didn’t expect that I would be a part of your life today?

“Absolutely not.”

“Wow, I’m surprised! Because, the first time I saw you, almost 3 years ago, I knew, I’m not letting you go anytime soon.”

“Damn, Kabir.”
