Forgetting To Remember

I forget about you,

Until that moment,

When one dialogue,

From an old movie,

Reminds me of something,

You told me that day in the park.

Randomly, casually, probably,

Thinking it wouldn’t matter in a year.

And somehow, it didn’t.

Until I heard it again,

Saying what you’d said,

Not exactly to me,

But for me.

To forget,

But for me to remember,

That you exist,

Even a year later,

Not just in the conversations,

But only in conversations with me.
