Ode To Words & Writers
I look for words written by people like me,
Almost every night before sleeping,
Hoping, someone, somewhere,
Might have got this feeling right,
In poems or songs or just tweets sent late at night,
Wondering how they wrote what they wrote,
Why they wrote what they wrote,
Did they feel so alone in that moment that,
There were only words to hug them back?
Did they not find something by someone that,
They’d to write the feelings themselves,
Of what hurts and what love them back?
So, I look for words,
Hoping I could hug the poets somehow,
Long after they wrote it,
Long after they felt it,
Long after they knew,
Someone like me would read it,
And feel the feelings too.
