My Pet Anxiety

It nudges me,

Ever so often,

Sneaking in from anywhere,

At anytime,

Wanting my attention,

All of it,

But, it's a bad idea,

We all know that,

It feeds on it,

Every second of it,

So, I ignore it,

I let it linger,

I let it stay,

Let it sit,

Without me paying attention to it,

Like it's a pet of mine,

And I have not signed up for adoption,

It stays around,

And nudges me often.
