Silences And Stares

He stares at me from the window,

His silhouette against the bright light room,

He stares at me as I stare at him,

Standing under the waning moon.

I know he's there,

He knows I'm here, too,

Yet there's just silence,

Between us two.

I want to say,

A lot more than I want,

I hope he doesn't stay quiet,

Then let the words haunt.

But, we keep staring,

And no one makes a move,

It's getting late now,

We've a lot to prove.
