Twilight Walks

Recently, I've been going on walks right after the sunset,

As the day slowly hangs for a while,

Before letting the night take over,

The sky turning into a deep shade of orange,

Before settling into shades of dark violet, then black,

As the lights get switched on in houses,

Some yellows, some white,

Some dim, some bright,

Pets on walks,

Children running with no care in the world,

And me,

Silently observing everything that's happening.
