I saw him standing at the platform,

Waiting to see me off,

As I stood inside the train,

Wanting to get down,

Just to be with him a little longer,

But he keeps telling me to go,

To go home and he'll see me again tomorrow,

And then, I have a feeling that he wants to say something,

That he hasn't said before,

And right when he gathers the courage to say it,

The train's horn whistles,

And his voice drains out the words,

And leaves him standing at the platform all alone.

But I think he said, I love you,

I know he said I love you,

I wish I could say it back too.
