A Message

My mother asked for some help,

To write a thank you message as a feedback,

She had a rough draft written,

So, it was easy for me to add a few words here and there,

And write the whole thing,

In between all this,

I thought of the numerous speeches,

She wrote for me,

When I in school,

And I was selected to deliver speeches,

On Republic Day, Independence Day and Teacher's Day,

Or any other occasion,

When I stood in front of the whole school and write a mixture of words,

From my mother and teachers,

Proud and confident,

Uttering every word,

Like it belonged to me and me only,

It felt like a full circle moment,

And I couldn't be more grateful,

To all those teachers and my mother,

Who helped me write the message today,

I couldn't have written any of it without them.
