It’s almost like a late reaction,

Of a drug so infamous,

To take you to extreme heights,

Higher than the highest,

Making you feel,

Lighter than the lightest.

But when it finally hits you,

You can only remember,

The conversations happened then,

And the imagery,

Of you smiling and laughing,

Unknown of the future consequences,

It may lead up to.

The only doubt in this case being,

Does this high ever fade away?
