Confused smiles…

Some smiles are so confusing; usually you can understand if someone is smiling genuinely or just curving their lips for the sake of a good thing. But, sometimes, you just cannot understand what a smile means.

At times it feels as if the person is so surprised by your honesty and innocence that he cannot stop his smile to reach from ear to ear. Otherwise it feels like the person believes that he cannot believe how dumb I am and he couldn’t stop smiling at my dumbness.

The smile could also be a metaphor for the happiness the person is experiencing and he couldn’t find any better way to express it.

Or maybe he is just smiling genuinely and I cannot understand the smile yet.
