He Said / She Said

He says, he wants to be the metaphors of her poetry,

She says, she’ll try to find something as lovely as him to make him the metaphor.

But, he’s a metaphor to the universe itself.

For he is the universe itself.

He says, he wants to be the last verse of her poetry,

She says, he is the entire poetry she writes.

But, he knows this for quite some time now.

For he wants her to tell him it’s for him.

may the poems we write always find their intended muses. today and forever.
