Helplessly

She wears her heart on her sleeve,

Giving it to strangers helplessly,

She is obsessed with the idea of being in love,

Dreaming of living in the clouds above.

She becomes vulnerable,

Despite all the heartbreaks,

Fearless of taking another take,

She wonders where she gets all the strength,

Of sending risky texts,

“I shouldn’t have done that”

In her mind’s back end.

Again and again,

She says, not again.

Love and heartache is too much to take,

But she wears her heart on her sleeve,

Gave it to a stranger again helplessly.
