Keeping Me Awake

The balcony door is shut tight,

The windows duly closed,

Curtains drawn to keep away the light,

The night clearly imposed.

For why then I see light,

Twinkling in my room,

I blame it on the sight,

It’s all about the moon.

For it’s really bright,

To make me sleep,

Not that you keep me up tonight,

With all the memories in a heap.
