Long, Summer Days

Dust storms and summer rains,

The fragrance of the soil,

The thundering, the lightning,

And dark, cloudy skies hovering again,

Hearty and heavy conversations,

Wholesome and worthless,

The longer the days get,

The longer seems rest.
