Only If

Only if you could tell me,

I would have waited for you.

Even if meant distance,

For a year or two.

Only if you had told me,

It ain’t possible at all,

I wouldn’t have waited till now,

Stood up after a fall.

Only if you had told me,

The reason behind the silence,

I would have understood it,

Maybe fought for with a license.

Only if you had told me,

But you didn’t and that’s it.

Should I consider it as an ending,

Closure is what is a miss.
