Our Alternate Versions

I think we meet some of our alternate universe's versions,

While dreaming,

Because in the dream last night,

I saw myself

With a little gap in my upper-middle teeth,

Which somehow makes me look good,

As I sit across you,

Though you look slightly different,

But it is definitely you,

Because we've had the same conversation before,

In this universe,

In these verisons of ourselves,

Talking about movies and songs,

And everything else.

Then when I realise,

It's you in the dreams again,

I wake up,

With your thought as my first thought of the day,

Checking the mirror,

To see no gap in my teeth,

And realizing it was just a dream,

Where we are talking, still,

And maybe in an alternate universe,

Nothing bad has happened to us ever.
