Out of a Book

A loud sound waking her up,

A flash by the window a second later,

A shadow appearing then,

This is not a story out of a book.

The window opens,

A foot on the pane,

The head hitting the frame,

This is not a story out of a book, again.

Someone stumbles,

Falls on his head,

A little ow,

This is not a story out of a book, again.

Gathers himself,

Arranges the flowers,

Looks up to find her in the bed,

This is not a story out of a book, again.

A shy smile,

Hands in the hair,

Guilt creeping in,

This is not a story out of a book, again.

A step forward,

A sorry later,

Watching the moon and stars,

Just like the characters out of theirv favorite book.
