Poems of You & Me

I read poems today,

Of artists in love and heartbreak.

Mesmerised by their metaphors,

They chose to define the feelings,

Unless meaningless and worthless.

One spoke about evenings,

And how the songs they play reverberate even today.

The other spoke about stargazing,

And I remembered how we saw the meteor shower in December last year.

Another spoke about how effortless is feels to talk to someone,

And I couldn’t help but smile and think of you.

Then I read the one written by you,

Talking about all the things other poets wrote,

But, just with a little more magic,

And a little more love.
