Read You

I want to read you,

All your phrases,

Even the ones untranslatable,

From languages and moods you write.

I want to read you,

In rhymes and proses,

That I write and you rewrite,

In ways you want them to be.

I want to read you,

In books and letters,

Written in my own handwriting,

Sometimes leaving out things I really want to say.

I want to read you,

In all hours of each day,

And memorizing every word,

I wish you had said.
