Rereading

Updated: Sep 19

I had read this book back in november 2017 and 8 years later, I reread it. I didn't remember much of the story (happens with me) and I'm glad I could be in awe of the story again. It was as captivating as it was back in 2017 and I felt similar emotions too. Of worry, of fear, of the sceptical future if a similar situation like the book ever happened in real life. Honestly, we weren't prepared back in 2017 and we definitely aren't prepared now.

Avid readers will know this feeling - the moment a great book ends, it feels like the world has stopped and you close the book, hold it close to your heart and just sit in the silence, not knowing what to do anymore, now that the book is over.

Today, when I finished the same book for the second time, I felt all those emotions again, but with a little less intensity, nevertheless, there.

Book: All The Lights We Cannot See, Anthony Doerr.
