The spaces between seconds

Hold so much more than we can imagine.

The silences that we hold,

To keep us from falling apart.

The words that remain unsaid,

Despite them holding so much feelings of the heart.

The thoughts that are never said out loud,

Like the ones you want to say right from the start.

These spaces have more emotions,

Hidden silently from the world,

Until someone listens to the pauses,

Of the spaces between seconds you hold.
