Stories

I don’t want to listen to any more stories,

There are too many of them in me already,

Waiting to whisper, talk or scream,

The memories of the days supreme.

So, let me say,

Just one for the night,

The one about our first sight.

Tell me again,

How long were you looking at me,

Before I caught you smiling?

And long you thought of keeping so quiet,

Unless you wanted me to talk with your eyes.

How long did you expect me to ignore your love,

And how long did you assume I’ll take to forget you much.

How long will I write poetries for you,

How long will it take for me to read it for you,

How long is the distance between two hearts today,

Despite being under the same sky and bay,

How long are the memories going to last,

How long will this story last?

words for the day
