Tragic And Unfathomable

I've choked so many times today,

Holding back tears,

As my skin prickled with goosebumps,

Reading and seeing everything that happened today,

Tragic, unfathomable, scary, unprecedented,

Even though I'm far away from the reality,

And I haven't lost anyone personally, (yet)

It feels heavy, sad and like a slap,

To wake everyone up,

And make us understand and see,

How fragile life can be.
