Transformation

I saw the sky change it’s colors all night,

From the pinks and purples of twilight,

To the dark blue of the night sky,

Until it became all dark,

Only to see the moon shine at midnight.

Hours and hours passed,

As darkness ruled over light,

Until the sky started to turn from night,

As birds started chirping,

And the sun made its way up,

Slowly bringing the earth to life.

I saw the sky change it’s color,

All night,

Transforming from light to darkness to light,

Making me feel a little more alive,

To witness this change,

With my eyes.
