Verses – Lost In Translation

There are lyrics which seem to touch the chords of our hearts reverberating them to our soul as they engrave themselves for as long as we can love. So, tell, me, now that we are unweaving ourselves, are we splitting the lyrics of our favourite songs too?

Then, I’m keeping, “Aadha sa vaada kabhi, Aadhe se zyaada kabhi, Jee chahe kar lu iss tarah, Wafa ka Chode Na Chute Kabhi Tode Na Toote Kabhi Jo Daga Tum Se Jud Gaya Wafa Ka”

Because, honestly, I don’t know how to unweave, whatever we had”

I am also keeping, “Yeh moh moh ke dhaage Teri ungliyon se ja uljhe Koi toh toh na laage Kis tarah girah ye suljhe”

Tell me how to unweave this mess we made, will you?

And, I will never be able to sit with you under the stars and the moon, while listening to ‘Yeh Dooriyaan’ and discuss how this is not a sad song. It’s a song full of hope and belonging. Belonging that we had. Hoping that this lasted.

“Kabhi hua yeh bhi Khali Rahon pe bhi Tu tha mere saath Kabhi tujhe milke lauta Mera dil yeh khali khali haath Yeh bhi hua kabhi Jaise hua abhi Tujhko sabhi mein paa lia”

I know it’s making no sense so far, but all I would like you to say is let’s leave all this and go somewhere peaceful and quiet while Tu bin bataye mujhe le chal kahin plays on the radio unknown to the fact that this decision is coming from hearts who are on the verge of breaking as love bursts off it’s seams.

Lastly, it’s better not to hold on to moments longer than we should. Certainly, we did, now as we part ways on the background music of State Lines of Novo Amor.
