Wordless / Thoughtful

The mind draws a blank,

As the sun sets today,

Leaving me with unlimited thoughts,

But no words to speak them.

So, how am I supposed to tell you,

That I haven’t smiled all day long,

Or had a moment of calm,

Until I saw you.

Even then I’m at loss,

With the expanse of things I want to say,

But the mind draws a blank,

Wondering if you would still stay.

Despite the words,

Beholding the silences,

Only if you could listen to my thoughts,

Even without music we would sway.
