Ghaas Ke Phool

Aaj dhundla sa asmaa tha,

Bilkul uss din jaisa,

Jis din hum,

Uss door wali pahadi ke jharne ki talaash mein gaye the,

Jo hume mila,

Par tab, jab sooraj dhal sa gaya tha,

Bas kuch pal hi the humare paas,

Uss paani ki awaaz ko dil ke bakse mein band karne ke liye,

Aur woh awaaz aaj iss asmaa se goonj rahi thi,

Kisi kavita jaise,

Jo maine uss din tumhe sunayi thi.

Socha, aaj usse likh ke tumhe yaad kar lu,

Aur shayad tumhe meri yaad dila du,

Par, kya karein,

Kagaz khatam ho gaye hai,

Tumhe chitthiyaan likhte likhte,

Jinka jawab tumne aaj tak nahi bheja,

Isliye, phool bhej rahi hu,

Wahi, ghaas ke,

Jo mehakate toh nahi hai,

Par shayad tumhe behka jayenge,
