Kitne din guzar gaye uss balle se helicopter ghumte dekh ke..

Kitne dino se uss balle ko chakke chudate nahi dekha..

Woh match ke aakhri lamho mein,

Jee michmichlaate hue,

Aakhir kitne din ho gaye? Dekhna hai usse,

Match ka rukh badalte hue,

Apne kandho par, desh ki aashaye uthaate hue,

Fir match jeet jaane ke baad,

Woh stump ukhaad kar le jaate hue..

Aakhir kitne din ho gaye? Dekhna hai uss balle ko batate hue,

Ki dum hai abhi bhi baazuo mein,

Shaadar chauko ki taaliyo mein,

Uss insaan ko saharte hue,

Aakhir kitne din ho gaye? Dusre ore par khade hue,

Hausla dete hue,

Awaaz uski stump mike pe sune,

Aakhir kitne din ho gaye? 224 run ka salaam dekar,

183 run ki shaan deke,

Aur woh chakke se duniya jeet ke,

Aakhir kitne din ho gaye?
